PINE BLUFF -- The Golden Lions did some fine tuning on Thursday in preparation for Saturday's showdown with Arkansas State. It's the first time since 2010 that UAPB will face an FBS school. The team departs for Jonesboro today and kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. live on ESPN3.
UAPB went through a shell practice (shoulder pads & shorts) as coach Monte Coleman says "Thursday is a polish practice where its usually short on offense & defense than usual, but it also gives the younger guys on scout team a chance to get some reps in."
