Arkansas man gets 15 years for threatening judge

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - An Arkansas man who pleaded guilty to threatening a federal judge, a prosecutor and the Social Security office in Little Rock will serve 15 years in prison.

U.S. District Judge Brian Miller on Friday handed down the sentence to 36-year-old Leroy Shawn Selsor of Brickeys. Selsor was also accused of threatening a federal probation officer.

In November 2011, Selsor allegedly mailed a letter that threatened to place bombs in the cars of a federal judge and a prosecutor. Over the next two months, he allegedly mailed other threats, including one in which he claimed to have included a deadly virus.

Selsor was named in a five-count indictment in 2012. He pleaded guilty in April to two counts.

U.S. Attorney Connor Eldridge says the hoax drained resources from multiple agencies.
