ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia comes into the season with high expectations.

The fifth-ranked Bulldogs will find out pretty quickly if their outlook is justified.

No one has a tougher start than Georgia, which will travel to Clemson on Saturday night to face the eighth-ranked Tigers, then return home the following week to meet sixth-ranked South Carolina.

But those aren't the only crucial games early in the season. The Southeastern Conference - and, therefore, the nation - will have a pretty good idea about where things are headed by the first week of fall.

Alabama faces Virginia Tech on Saturday, followed by No. 7 Texas A&M. No. 12 LSU begins with No. 20 TCU and travels to Georgia in late September. No. 10 Florida has a potentially treacherous trip to Miami in Week 2.
