When the Sooners host the Warhawks of Louisiana-Monroe Saturday in Norman, not everyone from Oklahoma will be rooting for the guys in the Crimson and Cream.
There will be a good number of people pulling for several Okies wearing the Maroon and Gold. Booker T. Washington product Ray Stovall and Jenks native Ben Risenhoover are two of the four Warhawk players from this state.
And you can bet they were excited when they saw Oklahoma was on the schedule.
"I just cracked a smile." said Stovall, "I was just glad to be going home to play because I have a lot of family that haven't been able to see me play except on TV. I was just excited."
"I'm excited to go back to my home state and play in front of friends and family." added Risenhoover, "It's somewhat of a motivation, but it will be fun."
You can hear what else Ray and Ben have to say about returning to Oklahoma to face the Sooners on our Big 4 College Football Preview show Saturday, August 31st from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
The Sooners and Warhawks face off on Owen Field Saturday at 6:00pm.
