Delta Dental awards $15K grant for work with kids

Posted:

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation is awarding a $15,000 grant for a children's dental clinic.

Delta Dental officials are to present a check on Wednesday at Wakefield Elementary School in Little Rock.

The grant is to support the Future Smiles Dental Clinic, which is coordinated by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Children International.

The daily clinic provides comprehensive dental care to children from low to moderate-income households. The clinic is staffed by dental professionals at Arkansas Children's Hospital, as well as dental hygiene students from the University of Arkansas at Medical Sciences.

Thousands of children have been treated at the clinic.
