FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Ashleigh Ellenwood's goal lifted Arkansas to a 1-0 victory over Kansas in the Razorbacks' soccer season opener.
A crowd of 1,385 attended, making the game the fourth-best attended event at Razorback Field history.
Arkansas took nine shots, with five on goal. Kansas took 11 shots, with five on goal. Arkansas freshman goalkeeper Cameron Carter got the shutout.
Ellenwood scored off an assist from freshman Claire Kelley in Friday night's game. The Razorbacks play SMU Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
