30 registered sex offenders arrested

More than two dozen registered sex offenders in Lonoke County have been arrested in a joint operation dubbed "Hide and Seek."

30 people were arrested on various charges.

Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley aid the main target of the operation was to arrest Blake Davis, 19, of Cabot.

Davis is accused of intimidating a witness in reference to a previous rape charge that is pending.

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office conducted a joint operation with the Carlisle and Ward police departments, the U.S. Marshals, the Secret Service and ICE.

The operation included verifying that Level 3 and 4 sex offenders have provided officials with correct information and are not in violation of any regulations.

"We're going to hold them accountable. If you say you're living somewhere, you better be there," said Sheriff John Staley. "You better following all the regulations about staying away from the churches and the schools and we're going to know where you're at and what you're doing and we're going to hold you accountable."

Davis is being held without bond in the Lonoke County Detention Center.
