Halo recalling infant blankets due to choking risk

Posted: Updated:

Moms and dads will want to check to see if they own any of the SleepSacks that are being recalled.

Baby products maker Halo Innovations Inc. is recalling 27,000 of the wearable blankets because of a choking hazard. The sleepsacks were sold at Babies R Us from December 2011 through July 2013 for about $25.

The recalled garment is white, has pink ruffles and a pink satin rose. The rose on the recalled SleepSack can detach and pose a choking hazard.

Halo has received six reports of petals detaching from the garment. That includes one report of an infant who gagged on the detached flower.
