LITTLE ROCK (AP) - University of Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema says his team is ready to put its horrible 2012 season behind it and is looking forward to the 2013 season opener.
Speaking to the Little Rock Touchdown Club on Wednesday, the coach said players adopted his methods as soon as he arrived last winter and never talked about how things used to be done.
Arkansas had two coaches last year. Bobby Petrino was fired after lying about circumstances around a motorcycle accident and John Smith was let go after the Razorbacks limped to a 4-8 season.
Bielema said no other players had a year like 2012 and that they were looking forward to opening the season next week against Louisiana-Lafayette.
