FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas football team opened up its third week of preseason camp this morning with the first of two practices Monday.
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jim Chaney spoke with RazorVision after practice about how the Razorbacks have handled the grind of camp thus far.
"This is when the grit comes out," Coach Chaney said. "I think good teams are unfolded right now. This is when you have to have the grit to go out and compete every day and try to make yourself a better player. Collectively, if everybody does that we'll become a better offense and a better football team."
Coach Chaney also spoke on the continued progression displayed by sophomore quarterback Brandon Allen in practices.
"I think he's on a good run," Coach Chaney said. "He's learning all the concepts we're trying to get down right now and just continues to try and be professional about them and get better at them. We're not adding any offense right now. We're ready to go. Starting midweek, we'll start moving our minds toward the upcoming opponent."
