Undercover Officer Arrests Women for Alleged Prostitution at Tulsa Motel

Undercover officers arrested two women over the weekend for allegedly taking part in prostitution at an east Tulsa motel.

Tulsa Police placed Jerica Girkin and Shari Hoover under arrest Saturday evening at the motel on East 41st Street. Girkin was booked on an engaging in prostitution complaint, while Hoover was booked for maintaining a house of prostitution.

According police documents, officers made contact with Girkin after finding an advertisement on backpage.com. After a series of text messages and phone calls, the vice officer was directed to the motel where she met him offered a sexual act for $120.

Officers stated in their arrest report that Hoover was the woman who registered the room where the prostitution took place. She also "maintained the smart phone where the backpage ads were posted."

During the encounter, Hoover remained in the living area of the motel room. When the officer revealed himself as a member of Tulsa Police she attempted to leave and was detained outside.

Officers determined Girkin and Hoover had outstanding warrants against them. Both were transported to the Tulsa Jail.
