LAWRENCE COUNTY (KAIT) - An Imboden man accused of threatening two people with a shotgun reportedly told investigators he was "just trying to scare them."

On Saturday, August 10, Lawrence County sheriff's deputies, along with officers from the Pocahontas Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, arrested 35-year-old Kenneth Hutton for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

A 911 caller reportedly said Hutton had threatened two people with a 12-gauge shotgun.

A short time later Hutton was in custody in Randolph County.  Dotson said officers found a 12-gauge shotgun in Hutton's possession at the time of his arrest.

On the way to the jail Hutton told the deputy he was "just trying to scare" the victims.
