CONWAY (AP) - Central Arkansas coach Clint Conque says quarterback Taylor Reed has been granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA.
Reed, a sophomore from El Dorado, sat out last season at Arkansas after transferring from Memphis, where he started nine games as a freshman - throwing for 1,690 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback transferred to UCA following last season and will have three years of eligibility for the Bears, who were 9-3 last season.
Reed was 24-2 as a starting quarterback in high school at El Dorado, where he was the most valuable player of the Class 6A state championship game as a senior.
