FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - The University of Arkansas men's tennis team has been named a 2013 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic team for the second year in a row.
Seniors Hall Fess, Manfred Jeske, Pete Thomason and sophomore Santiago Munoz were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Head coach Andy Jackson says he's proud of his team's academic success.
Arkansas is 1 of 5 Southeastern Conference schools to receive the team award. The ITA All-Academic award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
To earn the ITA Scholar-Athlete honor, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and have been enrolled at their current school for at least two semesters.
