A high-speed police chase on I-40 has landed one man behind bars on a laundry list of charges.

It all started Sunday when an Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office deputy tried to stop a silver Honda at S. MacArtuerh and I-40 for traffic violations.

The driver didn't stop and took off, forcing the deputy to chase after him.

Authorities said the chase topped speeds of 110-mph along I-40 and during the pursuit, the driver was seen tossing out several items from his window.

The chase lasted about 18 minutes and covered 20 miles and ended with a tactical vehicle intervention maneuver at Richland and Britton Rd. in Canadian County.

The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and took off on foot, police said.

He was eventually caught and taken into custody, identified as 37-year-old Clyde Brushwood.

Brushwood admitted to tossing meth out of the car during the chase and was booked on charges of reckless driving, driving under suspension, felony aggravated eluding, destroying evidence and obstructing an officer.
