Lane closures announced across Arkansas

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Road work across the state will force lane closures throughout next week across the state.

First, bridge deck repairs on Highway 10 (Cantrell Road) in Little Rock will force the inside westbound lane to be closed on the railroad bridge (Lincoln Viaduct) just west of Dillard's corporate headquarters. The work is expected to last for the next one to two weeks except for Fridays and weekends.

Crews will also be patching bridge joints on Interstate 530 from Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2. The work will require rolling lane closures from the north interchange to the south interchange between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

A second job on I-530 will require the southbound outside lane to be closed from Old Warren Road to Hazel Street starting Monday and lasting for several weeks. It will not interfere with the on-ramp of Old Warren Road. The Hazel Street off-ramp will also remain open but will have traffic barrels and signs marking the correct path to drive.

More bridge deck repairs will force a lane closure on Interstate 40 in Carlisle on Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30. The eastbound outside lane will be closed at the Highway 13 (North Bankhead Drive) overpass between mile markers 180 and 183 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Further down the interstate in West Memphis, crews will be installing new signs and removing pavement markings. The work will require I-40 eastbound traffic to merge into a single lane from just east of Highway 118 (mile marker 276) to just east of the Interstate 40/55 interchange (mile marker 278) on Tuesday, July 30 from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Improvements to Highways 65 and 8 in Eudora will bring closures for the entire week. Crews will be replacing old asphalt from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Finally, a routine bridge inspection will force the outside lanes on Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County to close. The eastbound outside lane will close Tuesday, July 30 and the westbound lane will close Wednesday, July 31 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
