Man shot in the head in Little Rock drive-by

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A man was sent to the hospital after being shot in the head during a drive-by shooting Wednesday evening.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Little Rock police say a suspect drove up to a man's vehicle and fired shots, one of the hitting him in the head. The victim then veered off of the road and slammed into a tree. The suspect fled the scene. Police cannot confirm whether or not the victim and suspect knew each other or if it was a random attack.

The victim is being treated at UAMS. He is expected to survive.
