Okmulgee County deputies discovered a mobile meth lab over the weekend after attempting to serve a protective order on a wanted man.
An official with the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office stated that two deputies went to serve the protective order on Kirk Simioni back on July 21. This happened at the 500 block of S. Taft in Okmulgee.
According to the release, when officers attempted to make contact at the front door, Simioni responded with a hammer behind his back.
"While the service of the protective order was being made the officers noticed a strong odor coming from inside the residence that they associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine."
Following a short investigation at the residence, a "shake and bake" meth lab was discovered inside the home. Simioni also was reportedly wanted by the state of California on a felony warrant.
He was booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on complaints of manufacturing of methamphetamines.
