Little Rock Police begin work on new 12th Street station

Posted: Updated:

On Tuesday, the Little Rock Police Department begins construction on a brand new police station at the corner of Pine/Cedar and 12th Street.   The nearly $12 million facility is part of a plan to revive the 12 Street corridor.

According to city officials the new station has been in the works for years, and a portion of the funding is being paid for by a grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.

The new station will be just over 44-thousand square feet, and is expected to be operational sometime next year.
