Amy Crain crowned Miss Arkansas 2013

HOT SPRINGS (KATV) -

Miss Arkansas 2013 was crowned in Hot Springs Saturday night.

The winner was Miss Diamond Lakes, Amy Crain. She will represent the state in the Miss America contest.

First runner up was Miss Heart of the Ozarks, Tracy Neal.

Miss Ouachita River, Abby Lindsey, was named second runner up.

Kiley Wright, Miss Ouachita Baptist University, was third runner up.

Miss University of Central Arkansas, Lauren Howell, was named fourth runner up.

 

The young women competed in preliminary competitions throughout the week.

Here's a recap of this year's preliminary winners:

Thursday:

Talent - Cortnie Devore, Miss Frisco Springs 

Evening Gown - Jennifer Ulloa, Miss Northeast Arkansas 

Suimsuit - Lauren Howell, Miss University of Central Arkansas


Wednesday:

Talent: Amy Crain, Miss Diamond Lakes

Evening Gown: Tracy Neal, Miss Heart of the Ozarks

Swimsuit: Klancy Johnson, Miss Texarkana


Tuesday:

Talent: Caitlyn Cook, Miss Greater Jacksonville

Evening Gown: Lauren Howell, Miss University of Central Arkansas

Swimsuit: Sarah Elise Gafvert, Miss University of Arkansas

Each preliminary winner receives an $800 scholarship.


Winners of the "Service Before Self" include:

- Morgan Grady, Miss Arkansas Valley

- Tracy Neal, Miss Heart of the Ozarks

- Claire Hodgson, Miss South Arkansas

Reigning Miss Arkansas and Miss America's Miss Congeniality Sloane Roberts was on hand to crown the new Miss Arkansas.
