TPD: Man Confesses to Burning Vehicle

A Tulsa man who confessed to burning his girlfriend's car early Sunday now faces an arson charge, according to Tulsa Police.

Firefighters were called to a car fire in the 3300 block of S. 120 E. Ave. around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, and because there were reports of a suspect in the back yard, police officers responded as well.

When they arrived, they found gasoline was used to burn a vehicle that was parked approximately two feet from the front porch because of a text received earlier from 37-year-old Ezequiel Gracia to the victim saying "leave cuz ur burning tonite," a police report stated.

37-year-old Gracia confessed to burning the vehicle after he was read his Miranda rights, police said.

He was booked into the Tulsa Co. Jail on a charge of third-degree arson and is being held on $2,500 bond.
