Senior Citizen Quiz Bowl

Posted: Updated:

JACKSONVILLE (KATV) - Senior citizens faced off Friday in a battle of the brains.

Seniors from across six counties came together at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville for CareLink's 5th Annual Quiz Bowl Tournament. CareLink said the contest helps the aging seniors keep their minds sharp and stay up-to-date on current events.

"Oh, they have so much fun," said CareLink's Randi Harville. "They come every year ready. They've practiced. They've actually come up with the questions and answers and they get really serious about it."

First place goes home with a trophy and, of course, bragging rights.
