Hunter education class to be held in SW Arkansas

FOREMAN, Ark. (AP) - The Southern Sportsmen Foundation is slated to host a hunter education class this month in southwest Arkansas.

The Texarkana Gazette reports the class will take place July 20 at the First Baptist Church in Foreman.

The foundation's president, Mike Cranford, says anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1969, must complete a hunter education course and carry a valid hunter education card to hunt in Arkansas.

The class is free. It starts at 8 a.m. and will end by 6:30 p.m. Anyone age 12 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
