Little Rock city vehicle stolen

Posted: Updated:

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Two city vehicles were broken into over the July 4th holiday - and one was stolen.

A witness told police that someone went into the city vehicle lot at Interstate Park on Chester Street, broke into two of them, then drove one through the gate. Officers found the west side chain link fence gate broken open and still lying on the ground, facing away from the parking area.

A Saline County deputy found the stolen car at the intersection of Deer Meadow and Chicot. The suspect ran away and is still on the loose. When captured, they are expected to be charged with felony theft of property, breaking & entering and criminal mischief.

Nothing was stolen from inside the cars, but papers were found spread throughout the cars and there was no sign of forced entry.
