Wagoner Authorities Investigating Deaths of Women

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. -

Wagoner County authorities are investigating the deaths of two women found dead at different locations on July 4.

Deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office stated in a release Friday morning that 53-year-old Vickie Lynn Hill and 82-year-old Rose M Teixeira were found dead sometime Thursday. Hill was found in the Rocky Point area and Teixeira was found in the White Horn Cove area.

According to the release from the WCSO, both women were discovered by members of their family after not being heard from throughout the day. Hill was found by her father and Teixeira by her daughter and son in law.

Authorities reported that Teixeira was "dead with a gunshot wound to the head," while no description was given for Hill's cause of death at this time. Additionally, a loaded revolver was recovered at the scene of Teixeira's residence.

Both women were taken to the medical examiner's office for further examination. No other information was provided at the time of the release from the WCSO.
