Little Rock teens in the top ten of Duck Tape prom fashion contest

Posted: Updated:

Chiffon, sequins, glitter - you think of all these material when you think of prom dresses, but how about duct tape?

Grace McFarland from Mount St. Mary and Colin O'Mara from Catholic High constructed her prom dress and his tuxedo completely from duct tape. They spent 95 hours making their outfits and used 20 rolls.

Now the pair is competing in Duck Tape's contest where more than 160 couples from around the country submitted photos of them sporting prom outfits made of duct tape. To get to the top ten a panel of judges choose them based on workmanship, originality, use of color, accessories and use of duct tape.

Grace and Colin have made it to the top ten but they still need your vote to win the two $5,000 scholarships.

You can vote until July 8. Click here to get to the voting site.
