Servers at five Conway restaurants cited for serving underage customer

Posted: Updated:

CONWAY (KATV) - Servers at five restaurants were cited Tuesday after they served an underage female working with the Conway Police Department.

Police sent an 18-year-old into 10 restaurants with an ID that showed she was only 18. Servers at Ruby Tuesday, Outback, Cactus Jack's, Stromboli's and Logan's asked for ID, then did not serve her after seeing she was underage. Servers at El Hausteco, Gusano's, Back Archers Ranch, Patron and Brick Oven all gave her alcohol after not even asking to see ID.

All of the servers who gave her alcohol were issued citations.

These checks are conducted randomly and will continue in an effort to fight the problem of underage drinking.
