Golf Tournament Helps The Disabled

Posted: Updated:

One of the most precious things that any of us possess, is our independence.

The ability to go where we want and do what we want.

Fortunately, there's a group in Tulsa that works hard to help people with disabilities live on their own terms.

It's the mission of Ability Resources to overcome their problems through advocacy, education and service.

They do their best to create an environment, so people with disabilities can exercise their rights to control and direct their own lives.

Ability Resources is a non-residential, community-based, consumer-controlled center for independent living.

To help fund their efforts they are holding a golf tournament next month.

The Links to Independence Golf Classic is on July 18th.

It will be held at the Cherokee Hills Golf Club, with a shotgun start at 8:30 am.

Call 918-592-1235, or use the their link, for more information.
