If approved -- a couple of Tulsa parks could be getting a refreshing new look.

The mayor's office and the Tulsa Parks Department want to demolish the pools at McClure, Reed and Lacy parks, then put up new-and-improved ones.

Updates would include "beach entry," tot pools, floating walkways and water slides -- all with a price tag of about $9 million.

The proposal was presented by the Tulsa Parks Dept. for inclusion in the capital improvement project package.

The city council will make the final decision about including the renovations in the package, which comes up for vote every five years, then taxpayers will decide to approve the entire thing during the election this fall.
