The undersides of three bridges in Tulsa that cross the Arkansas River will be inspected this week, resulting in several lane closures and traffic delays.

The 71st Street bridge will be inspected Monday, June 24, with the outside eastbound lane closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 21st Street bridge will be inspected Tuesday, June 25, with the outside westbound lane closed also from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 11th Street bridge will be inspected Wednesday, June 26, with the outside westbound lane closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The inspections on the undersides of the bridges are conducted every two years and the surfaces are inspected in the alternate years.

The engineering firm SAIC has been contracted by the city of Tulsa to use a "snooper truck" to conduct the inspections.
