A man is recovering after a wild crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike late Sunday.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 21-year-old William Corey Smith was heading east out of Catoosa on Interstate 44 around 10:30pm Sunday.

The accident report states Smith's SUV went into the center median back onto the eastbound lanes and into the shoulder ditch. From there, the SUV traveled up a bridge embankment. The vehicle flipped once it hit a fence and landed upside down on the 225th E. Avenue Bridge near east Woodrow St.
