Juneteenth Celebration At Guthrie Green

This weekend, thousands of people celebrated Juneteenth 2013 at Guthrie Green.

Dancers, live music, workshops and other entertainment were a part of the celebration.

Guthrie Green is located in Downtown Tulsa at Boston and Brady.

All events are free and open to the public.

Tulsa County Commissioner John Smaligo says it's a celebration of unity and a way to bring together the entire community of Tulsa.

Juneteenth is a celebration of the end of slavery in the United States.
