Owasso City Councilors Set to Discuss City Manager Office

Posted: Updated:

City Council is once again meeting this evening at its chambers in the Old Central building to talk about the office of the Owasso city manager.

City councilors are scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Friday at the building on North Birch Street. At the meeting they are expected to discuss the city manager's office, including matters related to job performance.

The Owasso Reporter, KTUL's community newspaper partner, reports that this will be the second executive session the council has held this week about the office of the city manager. Councilors talked for nearly two hours about the city manager’s office during the Tuesday night, June 18, meeting.

Mayor Doug Bonebrake said, after the June 18 meeting, that the council had not yet reviewed the details of an investigative report prepared by Tulsa lawyer Guy Fortney regarding what he discovered during an investigation of an internal complaint or complaints against City Manager Rodney Ray, who has been on administrative leave since May 24.
