Let the bidding wars begin! The City of Tulsa is trying out a new way to get rid of old stuff -- online auctions for surplus property.

Starting Friday, the public will be able to bid on vehicles, office supplies, heavy equipment and more.

The online auction runs until July 12th.

Customers can register online and when bidding is over, can also make payments online.

They can also be seen in person at the city's surplus property facility at 108 N. Trenton Ave.

The city's Finance Dept. will work with other auction companies over the next few months to compare results of the online vs. in-person auctions to see which has th best results.

The traditional-style auction is typically held twice a year in Tulsa, once in spring and once in the fall.
