Electrocuted 5-Year-Old Fighting for Her Life, Fundraisers Planned This Weekend

Posted: Updated:

The Muskogee community is coming together for a weekend full of fundraising events to help out a 5-year-old Muskogee girl who was electrocuted on Memorial Day.

Zamarie Whitfield was severely shocked in an accident last month and a family member told KTUL.com she has been fighting for her life in a Tulsa hospital ever since.

Friday, people can come out to a benefit bake sale and garage sale at Brooks Detail on 620 N. Main St and on Saturday, Creative Impressions will do photo shoots for just $20 at Spaulding Park starting at 10 a.m.

Sunday, a musical at Deans Chapel Baptist Church will begin at 3:30 p.m.

All proceeds will go to help Whitfield's family with medical bills.

There will also be a balloon release at sunset this Saturday at Spaulding Park.
