Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008. That was before he injured his knee in the NBA Finals in 2010.
Since then he hasn't been the same Kendrick Perkins.
Wednesday at the Thunder kids camp he said he's excited for the off-season because it's the first time in a while he hasn't been rehabbing an injury.
He says he's going to work really hard this summer to get better.
"I was kinda embarrassed the way I played." Perkins said, "I'm treating this Summer like I'm a rookie again. Acting like I don't even have a contract."
In his third season with the Thunder Perkins averaged over 25 minutes a game. He pulled down six rebounds and a little over four points a contest. In 2010, he averaged over ten points a game and over seven rebounds before he injured his knee.
