RUSSELLVILLE (KATV) - A Pope County jury found a father who killed his daughter's alleged molester guilty of 2nd degree murder.

Andrew Cody accused Lee Britton of molesting his daughter and said that's what caused him to shoot Britton.

The jury briefly returned to the courtroom during deliberations so they could watch the video of Cody's original interrogation with police. In that video, he spent 30 minutes denying the crime before then admitting to shooting Britton once in the head with a shotgun.

Jurors sentenced Cody to 20 years in prison. The crime carried a possible penalty of 6 to 30 years, a fine or both.
