Lt. Gov. Darr tours oil spill site

MAYFLOWER (KATV) - Lt. Gov. Mark Darr toured the scene of the Pegasus Pipeline oil spill and cleanup efforts Monday. Mayflower Mayor Randy Holland led the tour of the area for Darr and his staff.

The spill continues to make news nationally. Massachusetts Congressman Ed. Markey claims ExxonMobil was too slow in response to the accident.

Darr, though, said he was impressed with what he saw.

"I definitely think there are some unanswered questions that need to be answered for the citizens here but, as far as the cleanup goes, it looks like it's pretty well being taken care of," Darr said.

Monday marked the 80th day since the pipeline ruptured.
