Judge orders ex-Ark. developer to jail until trial

Posted:

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A former Fayetteville developer has been ordered to jail until his trial on federal fraud charges.

Defense Attorney Asa Hutchinson III told television station KHOG (http://bit.ly/1215TtT ) that the judge ruled Friday that Brandon Barber violated the terms of his home incarceration. Federal prosecutors had asked that Barber's home incarceration be revoked because he allegedly traveled without permission.

Barber is charged with bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to commit those crimes. His first trial is scheduled in September.

He has pleaded not guilty.
