Toby Keith To Host Twister Relief Concert

Posted: Updated:

Moore native and country star Toby Keith is giving back to the tornado-ravaged areas of Oklahoma.

The musician's publicists just announced a benefit concert coming up on July 6th, inside the Gaylord-Memorial Stadium at the University of Oklahoma.

Tickets for the show go on sale June 21st and all seats cost $25 apiece, with an eight-ticket limit per purchase.

The line up is still being assembled according to organizers. So far, it will include Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood and Ronnie Dunn.

The May 20th Moore tornado struck Keith on a personal level.

"I grew up in Moore, I live in Norman and I've got lots of family and friends who were directly affected," he said. "I know these folks and they're resilient, but we're going to keep helping them any way we can. I'm proud to get together with some others from around here who are just as committed as I am to supporting these communities."

Proceeds will benefit The United Way Of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund. Updates on the event and lineup will be posted at www.tobykeith.com.
