Officers arrested a 26-year-old man Monday evening after a young girl accused him of raping her for the past two years.
Tulsa Police placed Daniel Mendoza under arrest and booked him into the Tulsa County Jail on two complaints of sexual abuse of a minor. He was taken into custody at a residence in the 700 block of S. 101st E. Ave.
A booking report obtained by KTUL details the 9-year-old disclosing to a family member that she "had been sexually assaulted by the defendant." She stated that Mendoza had been raping and sexually assaulting her for the past two years.
"The victim stated that this occurs when [Mendoza] is babysitting her and acting as her primary caregiver at [his] residence."
Officers were told by the victim that the first rape occurred when she was 7-years-old and the most recent happening last weekend.
Mendoza is being held without bond and due in court next week.
