Man Escapes, Dog Killed in Midtown House Fire

Posted: Updated:

One Tulsa resident was found safe and without injury Monday morning after crews battled a fire at his midtown home.

Tulsa Fire Department were sent to the 3300 block of E. 30th St. after neighborhood residents reported flames coming from the house. This happened around 5:30 a.m.

According to officials at the scene, when TFD crews arrived on scene they found a power line had been brought down while the house was on fire.

Firefighters were told by the homeowner that no one else was inside except for his dog, which they weren't able to rescue. TFD told KTUL that it is believed the fire originated in the garage and the cause is yet to be determined.

Crews determined that the home is uninhabitable after the blaze this morning. Red Cross announced they would be providing assistance to the homeowner.
