Henryetta Needs Help For Flood Victims

Posted: Updated:

Henryetta city officials need volunteers to help move debris after heavy storms left parts of the city damage.

Flood victims from recent storms in Henryetta will have the chance to dump debris for free Thursday, June 6 until Monday, June 10.

The city is asking if volunteers can help assist elderly and disabled resident who are unable to leave their home or remove the brush on their own.  People willing to offer their trucks, pickups, and trailers to assist should call the city clerk at 918-652-3348.

Anyone needing assistance hauling away debris and other ruined items including carpet and furniture may call the city hall to be placed on a list.  The resident must be present when these items are loaded and they will be called back to set up a time to remove the items.

Broken tree limbs and brush should be taken to Nichols Park.  Other materials need to go to the industrial site north of the Dewer Junction near US-75 highway.   The service will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Residents wanting to participate need to show proof of address.
