One teenager killed, another injured in Drew County accident

A Monticello man is dead after an early Monday morning accident in Drew County.  

According to Arkansas State Police initial reports, 19-year old Blake Bayird was driving North on Old Highway 13 when his vehicle drove off the road and overcorrected, striking a tree and ending up in a ditch.  

Bayird was killed after the impact. 

It happened around 3:45 AM in clear and dry conditions.

A 17-year old passenger was injured in the accident and taken to a Pine Bluff hospital.  

There is no word on the passenger's condition.
