Lawrence Co. Sheriff: Body found in river is Sidney Randall

Posted: Updated:

LAWRENCE COUNTY (KAIT) - Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson tells our ABC station in Jonesboro that the body of a young female found in the Black River near the Lawrence and Randolph County lines Saturday evening is that of Sidney Randall.

The sheriff confirmed the positive identification just before 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Sheriff Dotson says the body was found near Old Davidsonville State Park by a fisherman around 5:40 p.m. "We want to thank that fisherman for calling in. People were still out looking," Sheriff Dotson said. "Everybody that called in tips and everything during this entire search, we really appreciate it," Dotson said.
