Severe Weather Expected Late This Weekend

Posted: Updated:

The severe weather threat is increasing late this weekend.

A powerful system will be moving into the region.

Storms will begin to develop Sunday in central Oklahoma between 3 and 9 p.m. and should move into northeastern Oklahoma from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The main threats are large hail, damaging winds and the potential for tornadoes.

Another round will move in Monday into Tuesday.

Before that, expect a warm weekend. We catch a break Saturday from the rain, but it will be a hot one with highs near 90 degrees.
