Wild River Country shows off improvements, announces snow tubing plans

Posted: Updated:

North Little Rock water park, Wild River Country, is opening under new management this weekend.

The new Aquapark Holdings staff Tuesday showed off the refurbished slides, new coats of paint and improved landscaping that are now ready for opening day, May 18. Water park employees hope to enhance visitors experience with a new mascot, food services and family fun nights.

The Vice President of Operations, Chris Shillcut, said goal is to make Wild River Country a 12 month operation. That includes a plan to put in zip lines for team building events and turning the water park into a ski slope during the winter.

"The whole hillside when you're driving in and out, that whole hillside will be covered in snow and we will have snow tubing for kids to be able to zip down through there," said Shillcut.
