Posted: Updated:
CABOT (KATV) -

A 74-year old woman is arrested after allegedly allowing minors to drink alcohol at her residence.

Around 7 PM on Thursday, deputies with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a loud party taking place on Rye Drive in Cabot.

Deputies cited an estimated 40 people between the ages of 17 and 19 years old for the offense of a minor in possession of alcohol.

Deputies say the resident, 74-year old Martha Dubois, became belligerent towards them and attempted to pour out a large bottle of an alcoholic beverage.

Dubois was arrested and faces charges of contributing to the delinquency of minors and violation of the host law.

Sheriff John Staley related that underage drinking will not be tolerated, and anyone allowing teenagers to possess or consume alcoholic beverages will be held accountable.
