17-year old shot in Pine Bluff

A 17-year old suffered a gunshot wound late Saturday night.

Around 11 PM, officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the 2900 block of Pines Mall Drive. 

Police found a 17-year old with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  

A witness stated to police that he and the victim were standing in a median between a Holiday Inn Express hotel and a Sears store, when an unidentified black male got out of the passenger side of a black Dodge Charger and shot at them.  

The witness said he and the victim began to run Southeast as occupants of the Charger chased them, and shot the 17-year old.  

Officers were not able to locate a shell casing at the scene.  

The victim was taken to a local hospital.
