T-Town Rundown: What to Do in Tulsa This Weekend

Posted: Updated:

We hope you're celebrating the arrival of the weekend just as much as we are. Especially with all there is to do in the Tulsa area!

Go Back in Time: Head southeast of Tulsa to the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in Muskogee. The event runs through June 2 over at the Castle of Muskogee and experience plenty of costume and celebration.

Don't Be Chicken: But do head to Broken Arrow this weekend for the annual Rooster Days celebration. The event was first created to help get the roosters away from hens in order for them to give the freshest eggs and while you may not find a rooster walk around, you will find plenty of music and amusement park rides.

Do Some Snacking: Have you been craving fresh and sweet strawberries as of late? Looking to explore a different part of Green Country? Look no further than Stilwell for the annual Strawberry Festival. The event takes place Saturday in downtown with a 5k run, free strawberries and even some ice cream.

Something Different: Whether you're into the Mediterranean cuisine or not, check out the Tabouleh Festival in Bristow this Saturday. The city is known for their Lebanese population and it doesn't get better than fresh tomatoes, lemon juice and bulger wheat. There's even a karaoke contest!

Do Your Part: Wanting to help fix up a part of Tulsa? Looking to feel good at the end of the day? Check out TYPros Street CReD project taking place over at 36th and N. Peoria this weekend. Organizers will showcase the area with pop-up shops, plenty of food and music. The event has helped bring the now bustling Pearl District back to life.

If You're Feeling Lazy: Get to Guthrie Green and stretch those muscles for the Tulsa Pulse Health & Fitness Festival. Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The event will get attendees into yoga, belly dancing and hula hooping. And what's best is that the event is free for all!

Hit the Road...On Your Bike: Have you missed being on two wheels? Maybe you want to stick a card on your bicycle's wheel. Well you can do both at the Tulsa Historic Bike Tour this Saturday at Guthrie Green. According to the event's website the ride will take participant's through historic parts of town and end at TYPros Street CReD project.
